Peter Kemp
Peter began his working career at 18 fitting bedroom furniture for Schreiber. After 3 years he moved into kitchen installation for the same manufacturer where he remained for a further 2 years. From then on he has worked for several independent retailers’ installing and overseeing countless kitchen installations and has also worked on numerous new build developments.
Peter’s unique blend of talents and experience are highly valued, and his practical input is regularly sought during the design process. His charming and unassuming nature endears him to all of our clients who clearly appreciate his attention to detail and his aesthetic viewpoint. He has a meticulous attention to detail and an unflappable attitude. Customers are reassured by his obvious expertise and warm and friendly manner.
His wealth of knowledge and experience from his 30 years in the kitchen industry is truly exceptional and essential in developing the business for the future.
When he’s not working (this is very rare!) Peter is found enjoying his passion of diving- a very specific type using a mixed gas closed circuit re-breather. This enables him to pursue his love for exploring ship wrecks at great depths, largely untouched by other divers.
Peter also has a fond affection for cats and is often found sharing his lunch with the on-site moggie!
Katie Green-Banks
Katie was introduced to the kitchen industry 14 years ago straight from school as a trainee kitchen designer. Throughout that time, she has gained valuable experience in designing and project managing hundreds of kitchen installations
She is truly passionate about designing kitchens. That Passion extends to all aspects of Interior design – especially furniture and she is often found scouring second hand shops for pieces of furniture to lovingly restore.
Katie’s long held passion for interiors and design helps her to assist you in achieving your ultimate goal. Katie will guide you through not just the kitchen design but is on hand to advise with the selection process of worktops, paint colours, flooring and handles. With her eye for colour and finishing touches, she will ensure you achieve your kitchen dream.
Katie has spent the last 2 years renovating her family home along with her Husband, Dad, Brother and sister in law (all under one roof!) her family are fondly referred to as the Real life Waltons!
The kitchens in their houses really are the heart of the home. In Katie’s house and next door at her brothers, it was essential they have tables large enough to seat 12 (at a push!) and enjoy nothing more than filling their kitchens with family and friends for an impromptu get together.
After working alongside each other at various stages over the last 14 years, Peter and Katie decided to join forces and create a company that utilises both of their expertise to offer a complete design and installation service from start to finish. Based on outstanding customer service and a ‘can-do’ attitude, Stag Kitchens aim to run a company whose brand is synonymous with quality and to help people achieve their dream kitchen
